The School started functioning on 4 th August 1958 with a strength of 26 girls and today it has grown to become one of the premier institutes in Kerala. Vocational Higher Secondary School was started in the year 1992. The Higher Secondary section was commenced in the year 2000. Currently there are over 2700 girl students from Primary level to High School, Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary. There are 130 dedicated staff in the school.
Our library is fully automated with the library software. The School Library page hosted in our School website making available the facilities like Online Public Access Catalogue, online status of books, online quiz etc. The demand from students to have accces to the online library services from their home motivated us to host the library website on Internet.
Our library at present have a collection of about 6000 books and subscribes to 15 magazines and four newspapers. To motivate maximum utilisation of library resources, various competitions and activities are organised every year. We are planning to expand our library to 1200 sqft area with 15000 books 2019 May 31 st .
